Terms and Conditions
This page contains the general rules governing
participation in Venice Water Bike recreational experiences
in the lagoon. Please read them carefully before booking.
1. The service offered
Venice Water Bike organizes recreational, amateur and non-competitive water bike experiences. Each outing includes an initial technical briefing and navigation assistance provided by the staff. The service does not constitute a rental service or a professional tour guide service.
2. Bookings and mandatory documents
Bookings can only be made online. The booking is confirmed only upon full payment for the experience. Participants must accept the terms and submit a signed liability waiver for each participant before departure.
3. Role of the Assistance Staff
The staff provides technical support, practical guidance and assistance along the route. The participant remains at all times responsible for their own conduct and for complying with the instructions received.
4. Safety requirements and rules
Wearing a life jacket at all times is mandatory. Participants must be able to swim for at least 20 meters. It is necessary to follow the designated route and the instructions provided by the staff, and to comply with the Navigation Code.
5. Prohibitions
Participation is prohibited under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as is smoking, wearing headphones or earphones, and participating while pregnant. Venice Water Bike may exclude anyone engaging in dangerous or unsuitable behavior.
6. Medical conditions
Any medical conditions, disabilities or special requirements must be communicated at the time of booking. Venice Water Bike may refuse or suspend participation for safety reasons.
7. Prices and payments
All prices are expressed in euros and include VAT where applicable. Payment is made online through secure electronic payment systems. Booking confirmation will be sent by email. The right of withdrawal does not apply pursuant to Article 59 of the Consumer Code.
8. Delays, no-shows and cancellations
Participants are required to arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time. Delays and no-shows do not entitle participants to a refund. Venice Water Bike may cancel the experience due to bad weather, safety reasons or force majeure, with a full refund or rescheduling.
9. Equipment and clothing
Venice Water Bike provides life jackets and dry bags. Changing rooms, toilets, luggage storage and custody services are not available. Participants must wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions and the aquatic environment.
10. Participation of minors
Participation is permitted for minors aged 16 and over, exclusively when accompanied by a parent or responsible legal guardian.
12. Lost property and Privacy
Venice Water Bike is not responsible for items left unattended or lost during the experience. Personal data are processed in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and current Italian legislation.
13. Liability, waiver and identity document
Participation is subject to signing the liability waiver. Each participant is responsible for any damage caused to themselves, third parties or property as a result of negligence or improper conduct. A valid identity document may be required.
14. Applicable law and competent court
These regulations are governed by Italian law. The competent court shall be that of the consumer pursuant to the Consumer Code; failing that, the Court of Venice shall have jurisdiction.
Important: participation in the experience is subject to the prior signing of the liability waiver and compliance with the safety rules.
